The purpose of The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 is to create an environment to prevent sexual harassment and in case of an incident provide for a fair redressal. The ownership of creating a safe environment and redressal mechanism rests with the employer.
