Aparna has expertise in the people aspect of the business. She holds a bachelor’ in Life Sciences and a Master’s in Human Resource Development Management from the University of Mumbai and brings to the table 25+ years of experience in strategic human resource solutions. Aparna has developed and implemented HR solutions across several diverse sectors: HR consulting, architecture, entertainment, hospitality, travel, and nonprofits to name a few. Apart from her corporate stints, Aparna also works on the advisory board of Earth Brigade Foundation – a not-for-profit which aids in wildlife conservation by engaging with communities and installing solar pumps which supply essential water for forest animals across forests in India.

Aparna started her career at EmmayHR – a pioneer in bringing about a paradigm shift in the way recruitment and HR industry is shaped today. At EmmayHR she played a key role during the merger and in the transition of the team to what we know today as Randstad India. Experienced in working with rapidly paced businesses, Aparna has a wide range of experience in leading turnkey projects related to organisational restructuring. In her last stint, she was heading operations at JobsForGood, a specialist recruitment service provider to the social sector in India. In a short span of 4 years, Aparna was instrumental in shaping up the business from scratch and built an independent team that delivered high-quality results.

Her experiences with the social sector lead her to find a larger purpose at the core while developing people solutions. Further, it also gave her a deeper understanding of the diversity of attitudes among people, making her adept at helping organisations design and implement policies for the entirety of their workforce. This deep insight led her to co-found her own HR consulting practice – Yellow Spark Solutions.

In her capacity as a co-founder, Aparna works with clients to develop people strategies and design & deliver behavioural training programs. Her area of work also covers advising clients on PoSH matters as an external member, conducting PoSH-specific training and helping organisations develop policies and initiatives to support PoSH. She firmly believes that PoSH initiatives at workplaces must go beyond the compliance checklist and instead should be used to develop a value-based organisational culture and a dignified society.

Her successes are attributed to her unique instinct for managing people and their work issues. Her strength lies in developing strong relationships with a wide spectrum of aurdience ranging from top brass of some of the finest organisations in the country to last mile front line workers in organisations. Cultivating relationships is the very foundation of everything she does, both professionally and personally.

In her personal time she follows a strict fitness regime, volunteers for causes, engages in counselling, goes on solo trips  and follows spiritual pursuits.
